Sayu and Junjun were sent to Yamaguchi to promote “Nanchatte Renai” in August. They visited the Tokuyama zoo together during that trip. However, because it was summer at that time, the weather was naturally very humid. Sayu was not the only one feeling warm though. The animals there were too. They were so restless that even when Sayu called out to them they didn’t even respond. The monkeys’ faces were redder than usual too. Watching how energy-less the animals were, Sayu laughed out loud. The animals really made her day.

During concerts, there will be a catering service available in the backstage and the food they offer are mainly steak and fried food. There are also set meals like Shougayaki. The catering service will definitely prepare salads too. Sayu has no idea whether its because the Morning Musume members like it, but no matter what, they will prepare salads for them. These are the common dishes that they get. Whenever they get pasta, Sayu will be overjoyed as they don’t get noodle-related dishes often. Also, it will be good if there is chilled Chinese noodles during summer. Sayu likes Kakuni and had once overate it resulting in an unpleasant feeling in her stomach in the mid of the concert. To avoid letting history repeat itself, Sayu is restraining herself from eating Kakuni so that she wouldn’t give in to temptation. There are often fish dishes available too. Sayu is okay with the salmons but not mackerels because even after eating and brushing her teeth, in the mid of the concert, Sayu will still be able to smell the mackerel smell in her mouth. She likes mackerels, but she is restraining herself from eating them before concerts.

When Sayu was 18 years old, she was on a diet. Not exactly a diet. She stopped herself from eating. Thinking back, she thought she had a pretty strong mentality as the current Sayu will definitely not be able to do so. Surprisingly, she enjoyed being able to resist to temptation back then but once, during her off, she ate something sweet and totally lost control of herself. By doing that, she gained 2kg within a day. The current Sayu gains weight easily too. After a meal of yakiniku, she can easily gain 1.2kg. She doesn’t restrain herself from eating nowadays though, she remembers how worried her mother was when she was on the killer-diet 2 years ago. Now, she will just be careful of what she eats.

Not long ago, the OGs and Morning Musume appeared on Music Station. They had rehearsals together for that appearance and the rehearsals made Sayu realised how each and everyone of them has a strong personality and was still like before. The my-pace Konkon would turn up later for the rehearsals and enter the the room with a “Good morning~” in a fluffy manner. Yuko took the chance to tell them to request for a signed copy of the upcoming 41st single. Charmy was so kind to Sayu during the rehearsals that it made Sayu somewhat regret what she said about Charmy on radio shows.

Angel Sayumi : It brings back the memories of the fun concert tour!
Devil Sayumi : Well, I can just skip those parts without me.

Sayu really does what the “Devil Sayumi” said. However, if she gets some free time, she will watch the full DVD. Still, she will concentrate more on “It’s You”, her solo song. Sayu believes the rest of the members and the fans do it too. Forwarding the DVD to/repeating the parts they like.

Sayu is amazed by how well Aichan handles the choruses. Even in front of the audience, she is not only able to nail her lines perfectly, she is able to put on relevant facial expressions. Lots of hard work are hidden behind Aichan’s performances! Sayu is motivated to work hard too! (:

Situation : After appearing on a number of variety shows.
Angel Sayumi : I was nervous at first but the entertainers/actresses were very kind to me so I felt relaxed.
Devil Sayumi : Again, I realised I’m the cutest of all.

Nope, Sayu really don’t think so. As Sayu is often seated at the back row in variety shows, she gets to observe the rest of the entertainers. She noticed the entertainers all have a very slim neck ^^; Also, the entertainers were very kind. Maybe its because they have once experienced what Sayu is going through now, they are able to sense Sayu’s nervousness even without Sayu telling them. They made her feel welcomed by chatting with her and assuring her that everything will go without a hitch.

Sayu’s sister has found herself a job and moved to an apartment that is nearer to her working place. As they are no longer living together, Sayu has not been seeing her sister recently. Not long ago, she received a mail from her sister saying that she has got herself a cat. A photo of the cat was attached to the mail. After looking at the photo, Sayu was really tempted to meet the cat so she made a special trip to meet it. The cat was surprisingly friendly. Sayu has the image that cats tend to have the tsundere personality. Although Sayu’s sister had named the cat Kyasarin, its actually a male cat. Her sister has wanted a cat very badly ever since she has moved out because it was lonely living alone. However, Sayu’s mom didn’t allow her sister to as she thinks that she has yet to get used to living alone. For now, Sayu is going to keep this as a secret for 3 months as promised. If you’re wondering why has it got to be 3 months, its because Sayu’s sister has a plan. After raising Kyasarin for 3 months, she is going to tell her mom that she wants to get a cat again. If her mom refuses, she will just challenge her mom that she will be able to take care of it for 3 months and once her mom says “It’ll be awesome if you can hold on for 3 months,” she will tell her the truth. Sayu was charmed by Kyasarin’s cute-ness but for some reason, after that visit, her eye was very itchy and her hands became rough. She wonders if she has a cat-allergy.

Sayu and other MM members were present during the recording of the Kizuna Shokudo SP that had featured the OGs. She had no idea there were such behind-the-scenes tension and feelings between the OGs back then. The thing that left her with the deepest impression was…how cold the studio was. Although it was summer, the studio was freezing cold. The OGs’ managers were kind enough to lend the girls their coats.

Sayu was very nervous during the recording of “London Hearts”. At the same time, she was very happy to be invited onto the show as she loves the show. It was recorded at night and she got so nervous that her stomach hurt. She was totally lost, not knowing what she was suppose to say and what was expected of her. During the show itself, there were some moments where she regretted saying certain things because the other guests were famous actresses and variety idols. She kept reminding herself that its okay, since she had decided to head for this way, she should not regret it. She tried her best to participate in the talk. After the recording, Sayu was brought to the dressing rooms of the other guests to meet them formally which was pretty scary. When she met Kokushou Sayuri, she apologised for the things she had said earlier on during the recording and got “Its all right” with a smile in return. Looking at the smile, it frightened Sayu even more because she thought it was more than just a simple smile. Other MM members who had watched the show had gave her feedback like “It was funny!” which makes Sayu feel a little relieve.

Sayu is aware that there is a purikura machine that will suggest the customers to make a “Usachan Peace!” pose during one of the shots.

Sayu thought she was talkative enough but during the Hello! Chanpuru rehearsals, she was amazed by how much Momoko talks. As Momoko spoke, the rest of the Berryz Koubou members ignored her (Not in the mean way) as though it was like “Ah, Momo is talking again.”

If Sayu’s sister were to be added into Morning Musume, Sayu will be elated. Sayu has been staying together with her sister since young and now that her sister has moved out, it feels a little weird whenever Sayu gets home and her sister is not around. However, Sayu’s sister has a poor memory. Sayu went to the karaoke with her sister not long ago and her sister remembered “Shouganai Yume Oibito” as “Shouganai Oikake nin”.

At the thought of a couple making-of in the street, Sayu was reminded of Mikitty. It may be just because she knows that Mikitty has just got married but Sayu thinks that the before-marriage Mikitty and the after-marriage Mikitty looks different. As though the happiness she found is now engraved onto her face.

Koharu may be a free-willed girl, she knows when is the time to be serious. During lessons and rehearsals, she will take things seriously. For example, when the girls were practising their “Nanchatte Renai” lines, Koharu, who has the same part of lines with Sayu, just that Koharu’s part in the 1st part of the song while Sayu’s part is in the 2nd part of the song, she was worried as she could not get the first key of the first line right straight away. Sayu too, had the same problem so both of them practised together. They came up with a plan. The lines before these 2 girls’ lines are Aichan’s and the first key of Aichan’s last line is the same as theirs, so they decided that the moment Aichan sings her first word, they will quickly register that in their mind (During the performance) and keep repeating it in their minds. It was pretty dangerous though because the first word of Aichan’s line was “Ha” (Hamburger ♪) while Sayu’s was “He” (Headphone ♪)

When Sayu was in elementary school, her family would always go to a beach or a lake during the summer vacation. Other then swimming, they would challenge one another in some sort of eating competition. If they were to be at a lake, her parents will bring along a watermelon. After a refreshing dip in the lake and their lunch, they would have the watermelon as dessert. Sayu has lots of good memories of her summer vacations…except for one. There was once where Sayu’s family, with the exception of her brother as he was preparing for his examinations, went to the beach on 7/20, which was also Marine Day. The moment they reached, her sister went straight into the sea to play but out of a sudden, there was a wave that hit her sister in her left hand and she started crying non-stop because of the pain. They headed home immediately. Sayu’s sister had to get an operation because of that and had a cast on after the surgery. Unable to spend a good summer vacation, Sayu considers this a bad memory.

Sayu had a TV show recording on 7/12 at night. It cut right into 7/13 and ended only around 1AM. She reached home at 1:30AM to find her mom still awake, waiting for her to celebrate with her which reminded Sayu that its already her birthday. Normally, Sayu’s mom would ask Sayu beforehand what she wants for a birthday present but since it was her 20th birthday, her mom got her things which she didn’t ask for, surprising her. Her mom gave her a diamond necklace that has “SAYUMI” engraved on it. As for her grandfather, he gave Sayu a bottle of wine.

Sayu had also received mails from the members as well as her hometown friends. On 7/13 itself, Sayu was together with the rest of the members so they gave her her birthday presents on time. There was a wide variety of stuff this year. She got some hair ornaments from Koharu. Aichan had gave Sayu some peanuts, a pair of earphones and a speaker for her birthday. Even though so, the next day, Aichan gave Sayu another present, which was a bracelet saying that she would like to give Sayu a proper present instead since its her 20th birthday but Sayu personally thinks that a speaker is proper enough. Sayu stopped for a moment halfway through her talk because she felt a sneeze coming out, which well, didn’t in the end.
FYI, if you’re wondering why a speaker, earphones and peanuts, Sayu love peanuts and on Youngtown, she had told Sanma and Shouji she wants a pair of new earphones and a speaker for her birthday present after they had asked her about it. Aichan was there too, listening to Sayu quietly, probably devising a plan to get the items for Sayu as her birthday present Sayu had also received her birthday present from Sanma last week which was also a speaker.

Gaki-Kame had informed Sayu beforehand that they had wished her a Happy Birthday on their radio show (FIVE STARS Monday #015). She is happy about it but she has a feeling that the 2 girls were just wishing her a happy birthday half-heartedly on their show. On 7/12, Sayu made it a point to remind Eri to not forget that it will be her birthday the next day. Eri then replied, “Then can I just send you a mail now?” which of course, Sayu didn’t want her mail at that moment. She wanted Eri to send it on the day itself. So Eri agreed. After her recording on 7/13 night, on her way home, she checked the mails on her mobile phone. Eri’s mail was dated 7/13, 00:08 (Although Eri insisted that she sent it at 00:07) and it was…a blank mail as though she just wanted to send a mail to satisfy Sayu because Sayu told her to send a mail, lol. At 00:30, Sayu received a proper mail from Eri which was filled with nothing but heart marks and a “Happy 20th birthday” just like what one would expect from Eri.

In Cinderella the Musical, Sayu had 3 roles, the fairy, a girl in the neighbourhood, and a young lady. In Ribbon no Kishi too, she had a number of roles. Seeing some of the members who only had a role and could put all their attention in their character, Sayu would like to try to play just one character too so that she could concentrate fully on it.

Whenever Sayu is with Eri, she tends to act more sensibly (No explanation needed). Sayu too, thinks that Eri is an idiot by nature xD Sending blank mails like a fool. She finds Eri a good fool, a vast fool. Receiving a blank mail from Eri will make Sayu be like “Eh?” for a moment, but the next moment, she will be laughing at Eri’s silliness. She doesn’t want Eri to try change this “idiot” personality of hers which Sayu because it makes things really fun.

Sayu misread 災いwazawai (calamity) as 幸いsaiwai (Happiness)

After saying something wicked, Sayu does not regret it, instead, she will reflect on herself. Sometimes, she will think that she went overboard with her poisonous comments. Now that she is 20, she would like to think twice before she speaks, like the way Gaki-san had advised her to be in the Happy Birthday mail she had sent to Sayu.

When Sayu was in elementary school, she loved insects like pill bugs and ants. She would sprinkle some sugar at the hallway of her house then returning to check on the sugar after some time to look at the ants which had gathered there. However, after she had joined Morning Musume, it was as though she had made a 180 degrees turn, losing interest in insects completely.

This week’s recommendation, “Chanpuru ~Happy Marriage song~” cover album! Unlike the usual cutesy songs Sayu sings, BOWY’s “Only You” which she had covered together with Junjun and Risako was originally sang by males and the lyrics are all male expressions. It took them around 2 long hours before they are finally done with the recording of the song. She had also recommended Reina’s solo, “Heya to Y shirts to Watashi” which she thinks is very suitable for Reina followed by New Mini Moni’s “Tentou Chuu no Sanba”. Lastly, Berryz Koubou and Mano Erina’s “Kanpaku Sengen”. Risako’s husky voice in the song attracted Sayu to it.

Sayu will usually go shopping together with her mom since her mom knows her temper the best and cares for her. At the same time, she can rely on her mom for advice if she gets torn between two items. Not that Sayu dislikes socialising, she does hang out with the members, but whenever she gets home and is alone, she feels as though she is free, able to do whatever she wants. It doesn’t mean that she restrains herself or tries to be someone who she isn’t when she’s together with other members, just that she thinks she likes being alone. Sayu wonders if she had grown up or something since she didn’t like to be alone in the past. Sayu taught listeners some of her devilish ways of dealing with those shop assistants that pesters you when you’re alone. If that ever happens to you, just say things like “I’ll come later with my mom”, “I’ll come back later with my friends” and “Ah, I have got something that is similar to this…” She uses the last phrase frequently to escape from those shop assistants. Before she moved on, she reminded all listeners to NOT say “I don’t need it” because it will sound as though that item sucks so just use “Ah, I have got something that is similar to this…” as an excuse.

Little things like after drying her hair and realising that she didn’t lose that huge amount of hair can get Sayu’s tension up ↑↑ also, when she remembers to bring in every single item she needs in/after a hot bath into the bathroom. She feels satisfied when she didn’t leave out anything and can just enjoy her bath while listening to some music in peace.

A listener who attended the LA concert thinks that Japan’s concert stages are better as the stages are bigger and the lighting is better but putting that aside, he enjoyed himself and shared some simple fan reports with Sayu. Sayu had some problems reading “Exciting” in English and probably got some help from the Konusapi staffs. Unlike Japan’s fans where their cheers are united, America’s fans seem to lean more to the free-willed side, throwing in “Fuu~”s whenever they like. Its something new to Morning Musume, so it was fun. Sayu’s description of their first signing event, “The first step to the world” ^^; The autograph event was fun too where they got a chance to be so near to the America fans. They also got the chance to hold a long conversation with those Japanese fans that they can recognise which was a rare opportunity as they had never got a chance to talk to them for that long even though they see them at their handshake events in Japan.

Linlin’s fashion sense is a little…unique as compared to other members. Her outfits often lead Sayu to asking “Why did you match this top with this bottom?”, “Eh? You’re putting on a necktie when you’re wearing this outfit?” and etc. But recently, she improved and is moving towards the cool image with outfits that look that she’s about to perform GAM’s “Thanks”. Until now, Linlin is still buying jerseys that belong to the small category as though she still thinks she’s small. The jerseys are so small that if she stretches a little, her belly button will be exposed. Several members have already advised her to get jerseys of bigger size but its probably Linlin’s style to stick to those small-sized jerseys. Also, she puts on high-waist jersey bottoms which gives her wedgies often. Sayu’s way of describing the high-waist bottom “Something that Fujimoto-san will probably get pissed off by” (Mikitty can’t stand wediges) Again, the members advised her to pull it down a little but she just continues doing that, wearing jerseys that aren’t even the high-waist type up high. Sayu assumed that it maybe because Linlin is small-sized so the pair of pants slips off easily that’s why she wears it above her waist but still, the look of her with those pants isn’t the best thing ever. Nowadays, all the Morning Musume members are trying to convince Linlin to change her style as though they are have some sort of “Improve Linlin’s fashion sense Project” thing going on. A perfect example was that on the day itself (Recording of this episode), Aika forced Linlin to pull her pants down a little.

Whenever Sayu and her sister are in the elevator and Sayu goes “I’m cute today too” in front of the mirror, her sister will respond “Nah, I’m cuter”, sparking off a battle with Sayu. Also, Sayu uses the mirror to check her outfit while in the elevator. Some time ago, she was taking a photo of herself in the elevator since she was searching for places with the best lighting for her to take the cutest photos ever. When she looked up, she realised there was a camera installed in the elevator and was totally embarrassed.

Sayu weighs herself 2 times per day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Sometimes, she’ll gain some weight which makes her go “Eh? I gained so much within a day?!” She will try different ways of weighing herself since she can’t bring herself to accept the fact that she gained that much within a day. After giving up tip-toeing and everything and still, unable to bring down the weight, she’ll take off all her clothes then to weigh herself again and it seriously worked. It decreased by 0.6kg. Sayu is curious to know about how many kgs one can gain within a day so if you know the answer, do send in to her.

The theme of this week’s show was “The Woman (Girl) Least Fun To Be With”. Before this show, they surveyed 100 men between the ages of 20 ~ 40 and asked them to rank the 10 girls. (Since the list/rankings on this show is usually a “Top 10 Worst so and so” list, you want to be ranked at the bottom. A reverse- top-10). There are TWO rankings/lists that they use in this show. The first list/rankings they’ll feature is based on the predictions made by one of the girls. (Before the show, each girl had to come up with their own list that tried to predict the results of the survey. Basically their own ‘top 10′ list. Then a raffle is held and a girl is chosen (in this case it was Haruna Ai) to dsplay her top 10 predictions. Once she finishes reading off from her list of predictions, they’ll then read off from the actual survey results. (fwiw, if her (Haruna’s) predictions perfectly match that of the actual survey results, then she goes home with 1 million yen (approx $10,000). But what are the odds of matching all 10 in perfect order? Astronomical. lol).

Opening Introductions:
During the opening introductions, Atsushi (MC/host) introduces Sayu and said he’s heard rumors that she’s the maverick/nonconformist in momusu. But Misono didn’t know what that word meant. “Duh, what does ‘maverick’ (itanji) mean?” Atsushi: “Umm, please use the dictionary”. lol

Atsushi wanted to know, being that it was Sayu’s 1st time on the show, whether she was keeping a close eye on any of the girls here. Sayu felt that her rivals might be Aoki Sayaka and Haruna Ai. Aoki seemed pretty surprised that she was mentioned. Sayu believed Aoki admired and wanted to emulate idols and so she (Aoki) might have these feelings of jealousy toward her (sayu). But Aoki and Atsushi seemed to disagree with this assumption. Aoki always wanted to become a network TV announcer.

As for Haruna Ai, Sayu felt that they were two peas in a pod. Haruna was in happy agreement. (It’s no secret that Haruna emulates idols. She originally became famous for doing Ayaya impersonations). But then Dark Lord Sugita pokes fun at Haruna by saying how different (fat) Haruna’s head (face) was compared to Sayu’s. lol (In Japan, it’s considered to be more stylish to have a ‘kogao’ (small face). It’s a long story, but it’s supposedly becuase models tend to be tall and have this head-to-body 1:6 ratio that’s supposed be ideal). Haruna (angry at Sugita): “Wha?!! Hey! Morning “obasan” (“old lady/auntie” – obviously a sarcastic pun using the phrase ‘morning musume’). Sugita: “And you’re Morning Ojisan (“old geezer”, since Haruna used to be a guy before her sex change operation). XD

Then Atsushi wondered if Sayu might be a little afraid of being on the same show with ppl like Kokusho or Sugita (the two Dark Lords of the Sith). But Sayu said that the two are so much older (‘higher up” or such big sempais in showbiz) than her, that they don’t really compute.(laughes).

Kokusho; “Don’t worry. I don’t know you that well either!”.
Sayu: “Then please learn (about me) before you leave today” (Or, please get to know me better by the time you leave).
Kokusho: “I don’t really feel I want to get to know you that well”. (Ouch! Subtitles read ‘Onyanko vs Momusu’ – the old idol versus the new. Kokusho used to be an onyanko club member)

Haruna Ai’s Predictions: (I’m going to skip some of the details of Haruna’s selection. Only mention the ones where Sayu gets involved and/or has something to say. But luckily Atsushi often asks Sayu for her opinions).
Haruna gets chosen via raffle to be on center-stage. Haruna predicts that Aoki Sayaka would be number 10 on the list. (This is the most preferable ranking, basically saying that Aoki (in Haruna’s opnion) would be the most fun to be with. After a little bit of cat-fighting among the girls, Atsushi wanted to know what Sayu’s ranking/predictions were for Aoki. Sayu said she placed Aoki at No.8. Basically saying she (sayu) thinks guys will find Aoki fun to be with. But then Sayu immediately drops some major “momusu bombs” on Aoki starting at 4.31.

Sayu: “I don’t think Aoki-san is that particularly pretty to look at. Nothing really special about her. Therefore guys won’t feel so nervous being around her. They can just relax being around her. ” (Ouch!)

Atsushi: “Dang, you ranked her at No.8 (a great ranking) but she (aoki) still gets dissed like that?! (big laughes). Amazing! lol You really are a maverick.”

Aoki: “Did I ever do anything to you to deserve this??!! (laughes)

Atsushi (acting the diplomat): “Well she (sayu) thinks you’re her rival, right? So she’s probably tough on her rivals”.

Sayu: “Exactly. And it’s just my honest opnion”.

Dark Lord Sugita (sounding genuinely impressed by what just happened): “Wow, this girl’s (sayu) got some real backbone. Like someone you can really rely on (in a crunch)”.

Atsushi: “She’s only 19, or 20 but has this strong presence/character/backbone”

Dark Lord Kokusho (also sounding genuinely impressed): “Right. The fact that she’s standing out (being noticed) like this, among all those other girls in momusu. It means she has something…talent or great skills. I bet she was once one of the girls (in momusu) that was sort of in the “back of the bus” (unnoticed in the back). But through her abilities/talent, she kept moving up and up (getting more & more noticed). (I think Kokusho really understands all this because she was once in an idol group).

Atsushi (suddenly remembering that Haruna was at center-stage and usually that meant she’d get the spotlight): “lol wow, everyone’s attention is on Michishige instead of you now lol

As expected, a few complaints from Haruna, and then the countdown resumes.

Haruna’s predictions for No.8 is Kokusho. He/she (haruna) compliments her and in his opinion Kokusho probably knows how to please a man. Atsushi wanted to know what Sayu’s predictions/rankings were for Kokusho. Sayu said she ranked Kokusho at No.7. Even though it’s a good ranking, Sayu felt that Kokusho was the type of person who probably tries to overdo things and lays it on thick trying to please her man. Always “in your face” about trying to make her boyfriend notice her efforts, her sacrifice. “Look how much I care for you or did for you”. But this could backfire becuase it starts to feel like a “heavy burden” (i.e. laying this guilt trip) for the guy and this could be kinda gross. (oops, bad choice in words. The subtitles said “momusu bomb” at 7.23) lol. Interesting thing is, Kokusho didn’t deny any of Sayu’s analysis or assumptions. She actually conceded to Sayu’s assumptions/guesses. Sayu then tries to butter up to Kokusho, but it didn’t work. Kokusho: “What’s so wrong with being a so-called “heavy burden” on the guy? I mean, if I love him that much, then..” Sayu (interjecting): “See, that’s what I mean. Like she’s going on and on and laying in on thick about how much she loves the guy, etc, etc”. “momusu bomb” at 7.36. (big laughes).

Kokusho in a tongue-in-cheek fashion tries to scapegoat/blame Kenji (Haruna Ai’s real name) about what just happened. That he didn’t take control of this discussion and that it got her “bombed” so much. Then Atsushi teases Haruna by saying that he agrees with Haruna’s reasons for chosing Kokusho at No.8, but he’s (Atsushi) more interested in what Michishige has to say. (Ouch!)

The countdown continues with the usual cat-figting. Often between Haruna and the other girls who don’t all agree with his rankings or psychoanalysis.

Misono vs Sayu (part 1):
Only 3 girls are left in the countdown. The “Worst 3″ according to Haruna’s predictions. Sugita, Ookubo, and Sayu. Atsushi was a little surprised that Sayu would be left. Sayu said this was unexpected. Then Misono interjected that she (misono) wasn’t surprised at all. Misono said she kept to herself all this time, but had to speak out her mind. She (misono) said she just doesn’t like this type of girl (Sayu). But Atsushi backed up Sayu by saying that she (sayu) did a great job of verbalizing her thoughts concisely and was ‘on-the-mark’. So he wondered why Misono would be all upset like that. Then Sayu said Misono is just being prejudiced against her (or feeling jealous or insecure). But Misono said she doesn’t think Sayu is that cute at all. (Hmm…. I’m guessing Misono thought that Sayu was implying she (misono) was acting jealous becuase Sayu’s the cutsie type?).

Misono: “Well first of all, she (Sayu) would always add “pyon” (hoppity hop) at the end of her sentences, like that was supposed to be cute.”

Sayu: “If Misono-san used it (pyon), it probably wouldn’t be cute and ppl will think that she’s sorta gross (sick in the head). But if I do it, it’s cute and therefore ppl accept it. She’s (misono) just being jealous”.

Atsushi: “So she’s (misono) jealous beciuase she won’t be accepted if she acts that way, saying “pyon”.

Misono: “I’m not really interested in saying stuff like “pyon”.

Sayu: “Look! Even now she sits with her legs spread out so wide!”

Scoreboard (in the subtitles) says Sayu wins and Misono loses this round in 53 seconds.

Atsushi (sounding impressed): “Amazing! she’s (sayu) so calm and composed (with her responses).”

Coundown continues.

Haruna Ai predicts Sayu in 2nd Place:
Hruna said even though Sayu is very cute, she doesn’t have any substance/character.

Then Atsushi immediately jumps in and says “WTF?! She (Sayu) has LOT’S of character lol. Lot’s of substance/character! lol” (Everyone is making big incredulous laughes and guffaws becuase of Haruna’s incredulous answer) (Like “Hello?”, where’ve you been the last half-hour? lol) . Atsushi: “She (sayu) has many times more substance than you (haruna)! lol ” (big laughes). Haruna starts glaring at Sayu and said “Hey, what are you giggling about?”. Sayu: “I have no recourse BUT to laugh”. So Haruna tries to accuse Sayu of always saying certain insulting stuff on this show like “It’s no contest” or “This is foolish”. But Sayu quickly retorted by saying she never once said “this is foolish’. Everyone there seems to agree with Sayu. So now Haruna is starting to wither away as well.

Atsushim was curious about what Sayu’s rankings/predictions for Haruna. She said No.3. She said she believes Haruna is probably the type of girl (or guy? ) who’se always so desperate in trying to please a man. As desperate as she’s been acting on this show. Another “momusu bomb” at 18.13. lol So Haruna wanted to know what Sayu would do if she went out on a date with a guy. Sayu said she loves to talk and she’s also a good listener. So she thinks it’ll be alot of fun being with her. Plus she said she’s cute. (Oops, I think Sayu needs to cool it on the “I’m cute” act outside of HP. Especially in this tough room. Could start to backfire on her if she’s not careful. ) The first to pounce on Sayu was Misono.

Misono vs Sayu (part 2):

Misono: “You’re not cute!”

Sayu: “Yes I am”

Misono: “It’s all about “me, me , me”. You bring in your hand mirror and keep staring at it all the time”

Atsushi: “Dang, what’s up, Misono?”

Misono: “I mean, she’s the type of girl who holds up a hand mirror and say “Yes, I’m cute today, too!” before she leaves the house.

Sayu: “That’s right.I did that this morning as well, before leaving the house for this show”.

Haruna: “Umm, shouldn’t you just get up in the morning and just leave the house normally (or like a normal person)?

Atsushi: “If I saw Michishige do this, I wouldn’t feel that it’s necessary to correct her. But if you (Haruna) did this, I’d advise you not to and scold you lol. The mirror will break lol” ( big laughes)

Some cat-fighting ensues with No.1 ookubo.

Results from the 100 men survey:
So now that Haruna’s list of predictions have been all read off, it’s time for the actual survey results.The real results.No.10 was Suzanne. Since it’s a reverse-top 10 list, it implies that most men who took this survey think Suzanne would be the most fun to be with. lot’s of boos and surprises from the other girls (as expected on this show). Atsushi then reads off some of the reasons the men wrote down on their survey sheet of why they liked Suzanne. In any case, since Haruna’s prediction for No.10 wasn’t Suzanne, she forfeits the 1 million yen.(like anyone will ever win this). Atsushi then rubbed salt in Haruna’s wounds by bringing up the fact that during her predictions, Haruna was of the opnion that men were only attracted to Suzanne’s good looks and nothing else.. Then all of a sudden Haruna asks Sayu’s opnion about all this (i.e. Suzanne choen as no.10, etc). Sayu:: “You’re asking me (all of a sudden)?” (laughes). Atsushi (totally on Sayu’s side): “Yeah, like “why are you (haruna) springing this on me (sayu) all of a sudden? lol Right? (as he nods to sayu) (big laughes). I mean I (sayu) don’t have any obligation to answer questions that you spring” lol. But Sayu said she ranked/placed Suzanne at no.9 on her predictions which is a very good ranking. Atsushi surmized right away that Sayu must have ranked herself at no.10 lol Now the other girls (Sugita, Kokusho, etc) are beginning to diss Haruna about her often-wrong predictions.

Next, No.9 in the actual survey results turn out to be Misono. Misono is ecstatic about this.The first time she’s ever made it in best two rankings in these types of surveys. So misono rubs it in with Sayu. “Ya see? You’re not #1″.

Kokusho is no.8 on the survey results. Still a very good ranking. (As what usually happens with these survey results, atsusho reads off some of the reasons why the men liked her).

No.7 was Haruna Ai. She gets lot’s of angered booings and disappointed remarks..

No.6 was Morishita Chisato. No.5 was Torii Miyuki. No.4 was Aoki Sayaka.

So it’s 3 who’re left. Sayu, Sugita, and Ookuno. Atsushi wondered how Sayu was dealing with all this. Sayu said it’s pretty depressing. She often watched this show , ‘Kakuzuke”, and saw how some of the girls who got poor rankings would sometimes be in tears. She always thought this was just an act with the tears, that it wasn’t real. But she now realizes that it’s really real. It really does get to you.

No.3 on the list was Sayu. Sayu seemed very relieved that she wasn’t the very worst. Atsushi felt that it must be tough geting ranked no.3 as a 1st time guest on the show. But Sayu said she was simply relieved that she wasn’t no.1.But Atsushi saud not to worry. If Sayu continues to come on the show, her rankings will keep improving as viewers get to know her and like her better. (wow, sounds like they’re planning on Sayu to make more regular appearances on the show?) Atsushi pointed out that Misono had horrible rankings at first, but it gradually improved over time. But then Dark Lord Sugita said “Umm…but nothing has changed for me..” (big laughes). The subtitle says nothing has changed with Sugita’s rankings after 5 years on the show. Atsushi: “You’re what we call “Miss Exception”. lol

Back to Sayu, Atsushi reads off the comments left from the survey about Sayu. (fwiw, after the midpoint or no.5, the poorly ranked girls only get to hear negative comments left from the survey. The better ranked half get to hear the good feedback). 1st comment from the survey: “She acts very sociable and courteous (in public), but in her private life (like when she’s with a guy) she probably wouldn’t show an ounce of effort (won’t lift a finger) to please”. (laughes). Sayu: “That’s not true…I think”. 2nd comment: “She probably constantly needs someone to tell her she’s cute. Otherwise she’ll sulk and act peevish. What a pain in the arse.”. Sayu said that may be true. This susrprises Atsushi. Sayu then explained that she needs these assurances constantly, otherwise she feels insecure. She wants to hear these reassuring words from the other momusu girls as well. When Misono hears this, she starts to laugh, like she’s making fun of Sayu. Sayu is obviously displeased about this and says it’s tough being around someone like Misono who always seems to be judgemental of her.

Misono vs Sayu (part 3):

Misono: “They’re (other momusu members) are just going “yes, yes”. (Like they’re putting up with some spoiled kid who wants attention).

Sayu (sounding a little desperate): “That’s not true. They’re all showering me with genuine affection. They’re showring me with affection”.

Misono: “Takahashi Aichan is actually cuter, don’t you think?” (Ouch. laughes)

Sayu is speechless for the first time. Atsushi comes to the rescue and mentions that all of the momusu girls are cute.

Sayu: “Yes, all cute. I don’t wanna hear this from Misono-san of all people”.

Misono: “But I won. I’m no.9!” (big laughes).

Sayu; “But I don’t want to be like Misono-san”

Misono: ‘I don’t wanna be like you either. Being all self-deluded and stuff.”

Sayu: “I’m not self-deluded. I am really cute” (Ugh, Sayu, pls stop with the “I’m cute” stuff already. Doesn’t always work outside of HP)

Back to more comments left in the survey. 3rd comment: “Even though she’s right next to me, she’d be emailing me (thru her cellphone).” Atsushi mentioned that sometimes he sees this bizarra sight where these couples are emailing each other (via their cellphjones) even thiough they’re right there next to each other. Sayu said that that sounds so appealing/wonderful. Eveyone seemed shocked by her answer. Atsushi wondered why some couples are doing this. They could just talk to each other since they’re right next to each other. Sayu thought that it was a very cute thing to do. Doing this in spite of being next to each other. Then at the very end of their date, and only then, will the couple exchange actual words of affection, like “I love you’. Atsushi seems to understand and likes Sayu’s idea. But the others are perplexed and pretty upset, saying stuff like ‘why do you pretend like you understand her?” Haruna: “She’s (sayu) not your type is she?!” Atsushi: ‘Why not? I think she’s cute”. lol Haruna: “She can’t be your type”. Atsushi: “Believe me, if it’s a choice between you (haruna) or her (sayu), then it’s definitely her.” (big laughes).

Back to the countdown. Only Sugita and Ookunbo are left. Ookubo is making these stupid faces all the time when it’s her close-up, delaying the outcome. Finally, Sugita tells her that the next time she makes those stupid faces. In any case, the big loser at no.1 is Ookubo.
