Sayu’s sister has found herself a job and moved to an apartment that is nearer to her working place. As they are no longer living together, Sayu has not been seeing her sister recently. Not long ago, she received a mail from her sister saying that she has got herself a cat. A photo of the cat was attached to the mail. After looking at the photo, Sayu was really tempted to meet the cat so she made a special trip to meet it. The cat was surprisingly friendly. Sayu has the image that cats tend to have the tsundere personality. Although Sayu’s sister had named the cat Kyasarin, its actually a male cat. Her sister has wanted a cat very badly ever since she has moved out because it was lonely living alone. However, Sayu’s mom didn’t allow her sister to as she thinks that she has yet to get used to living alone. For now, Sayu is going to keep this as a secret for 3 months as promised. If you’re wondering why has it got to be 3 months, its because Sayu’s sister has a plan. After raising Kyasarin for 3 months, she is going to tell her mom that she wants to get a cat again. If her mom refuses, she will just challenge her mom that she will be able to take care of it for 3 months and once her mom says “It’ll be awesome if you can hold on for 3 months,” she will tell her the truth. Sayu was charmed by Kyasarin’s cute-ness but for some reason, after that visit, her eye was very itchy and her hands became rough. She wonders if she has a cat-allergy.

Morning Musume – Nanchatte Renai ♪

Sayu and other MM members were present during the recording of the Kizuna Shokudo SP that had featured the OGs. She had no idea there were such behind-the-scenes tension and feelings between the OGs back then. The thing that left her with the deepest impression was…how cold the studio was. Although it was summer, the studio was freezing cold. The OGs’ managers were kind enough to lend the girls their coats.

Sayu was very nervous during the recording of “London Hearts”. At the same time, she was very happy to be invited onto the show as she loves the show. It was recorded at night and she got so nervous that her stomach hurt. She was totally lost, not knowing what she was suppose to say and what was expected of her. During the show itself, there were some moments where she regretted saying certain things because the other guests were famous actresses and variety idols. She kept reminding herself that its okay, since she had decided to head for this way, she should not regret it. She tried her best to participate in the talk. After the recording, Sayu was brought to the dressing rooms of the other guests to meet them formally which was pretty scary. When she met Kokushou Sayuri, she apologised for the things she had said earlier on during the recording and got “Its all right” with a smile in return. Looking at the smile, it frightened Sayu even more because she thought it was more than just a simple smile. Other MM members who had watched the show had gave her feedback like “It was funny!” which makes Sayu feel a little relieve.

Sayu is aware that there is a purikura machine that will suggest the customers to make a “Usachan Peace!” pose during one of the shots.

Sayu thought she was talkative enough but during the Hello! Chanpuru rehearsals, she was amazed by how much Momoko talks. As Momoko spoke, the rest of the Berryz Koubou members ignored her (Not in the mean way) as though it was like “Ah, Momo is talking again.”

If Sayu’s sister were to be added into Morning Musume, Sayu will be elated. Sayu has been staying together with her sister since young and now that her sister has moved out, it feels a little weird whenever Sayu gets home and her sister is not around. However, Sayu’s sister has a poor memory. Sayu went to the karaoke with her sister not long ago and her sister remembered “Shouganai Yume Oibito” as “Shouganai Oikake nin”.

At the thought of a couple making-of in the street, Sayu was reminded of Mikitty. It may be just because she knows that Mikitty has just got married but Sayu thinks that the before-marriage Mikitty and the after-marriage Mikitty looks different. As though the happiness she found is now engraved onto her face.

Koharu may be a free-willed girl, she knows when is the time to be serious. During lessons and rehearsals, she will take things seriously. For example, when the girls were practising their “Nanchatte Renai” lines, Koharu, who has the same part of lines with Sayu, just that Koharu’s part in the 1st part of the song while Sayu’s part is in the 2nd part of the song, she was worried as she could not get the first key of the first line right straight away. Sayu too, had the same problem so both of them practised together. They came up with a plan. The lines before these 2 girls’ lines are Aichan’s and the first key of Aichan’s last line is the same as theirs, so they decided that the moment Aichan sings her first word, they will quickly register that in their mind (During the performance) and keep repeating it in their minds. It was pretty dangerous though because the first word of Aichan’s line was “Ha” (Hamburger ♪) while Sayu’s was “He” (Headphone ♪)

When Sayu was in elementary school, her family would always go to a beach or a lake during the summer vacation. Other then swimming, they would challenge one another in some sort of eating competition. If they were to be at a lake, her parents will bring along a watermelon. After a refreshing dip in the lake and their lunch, they would have the watermelon as dessert. Sayu has lots of good memories of her summer vacations…except for one. There was once where Sayu’s family, with the exception of her brother as he was preparing for his examinations, went to the beach on 7/20, which was also Marine Day. The moment they reached, her sister went straight into the sea to play but out of a sudden, there was a wave that hit her sister in her left hand and she started crying non-stop because of the pain. They headed home immediately. Sayu’s sister had to get an operation because of that and had a cast on after the surgery. Unable to spend a good summer vacation, Sayu considers this a bad memory.

Sayu had a TV show recording on 7/12 at night. It cut right into 7/13 and ended only around 1AM. She reached home at 1:30AM to find her mom still awake, waiting for her to celebrate with her which reminded Sayu that its already her birthday. Normally, Sayu’s mom would ask Sayu beforehand what she wants for a birthday present but since it was her 20th birthday, her mom got her things which she didn’t ask for, surprising her. Her mom gave her a diamond necklace that has “SAYUMI” engraved on it. As for her grandfather, he gave Sayu a bottle of wine.

Sayu had also received mails from the members as well as her hometown friends. On 7/13 itself, Sayu was together with the rest of the members so they gave her her birthday presents on time. There was a wide variety of stuff this year. She got some hair ornaments from Koharu. Aichan had gave Sayu some peanuts, a pair of earphones and a speaker for her birthday. Even though so, the next day, Aichan gave Sayu another present, which was a bracelet saying that she would like to give Sayu a proper present instead since its her 20th birthday but Sayu personally thinks that a speaker is proper enough. Sayu stopped for a moment halfway through her talk because she felt a sneeze coming out, which well, didn’t in the end.
FYI, if you’re wondering why a speaker, earphones and peanuts, Sayu love peanuts and on Youngtown, she had told Sanma and Shouji she wants a pair of new earphones and a speaker for her birthday present after they had asked her about it. Aichan was there too, listening to Sayu quietly, probably devising a plan to get the items for Sayu as her birthday present Sayu had also received her birthday present from Sanma last week which was also a speaker.

Gaki-Kame had informed Sayu beforehand that they had wished her a Happy Birthday on their radio show (FIVE STARS Monday #015). She is happy about it but she has a feeling that the 2 girls were just wishing her a happy birthday half-heartedly on their show. On 7/12, Sayu made it a point to remind Eri to not forget that it will be her birthday the next day. Eri then replied, “Then can I just send you a mail now?” which of course, Sayu didn’t want her mail at that moment. She wanted Eri to send it on the day itself. So Eri agreed. After her recording on 7/13 night, on her way home, she checked the mails on her mobile phone. Eri’s mail was dated 7/13, 00:08 (Although Eri insisted that she sent it at 00:07) and it was…a blank mail as though she just wanted to send a mail to satisfy Sayu because Sayu told her to send a mail, lol. At 00:30, Sayu received a proper mail from Eri which was filled with nothing but heart marks and a “Happy 20th birthday” just like what one would expect from Eri.

In Cinderella the Musical, Sayu had 3 roles, the fairy, a girl in the neighbourhood, and a young lady. In Ribbon no Kishi too, she had a number of roles. Seeing some of the members who only had a role and could put all their attention in their character, Sayu would like to try to play just one character too so that she could concentrate fully on it.

Whenever Sayu is with Eri, she tends to act more sensibly (No explanation needed). Sayu too, thinks that Eri is an idiot by nature xD Sending blank mails like a fool. She finds Eri a good fool, a vast fool. Receiving a blank mail from Eri will make Sayu be like “Eh?” for a moment, but the next moment, she will be laughing at Eri’s silliness. She doesn’t want Eri to try change this “idiot” personality of hers which Sayu because it makes things really fun.

Sayu misread 災いwazawai (calamity) as 幸いsaiwai (Happiness)

After saying something wicked, Sayu does not regret it, instead, she will reflect on herself. Sometimes, she will think that she went overboard with her poisonous comments. Now that she is 20, she would like to think twice before she speaks, like the way Gaki-san had advised her to be in the Happy Birthday mail she had sent to Sayu.

When Sayu was in elementary school, she loved insects like pill bugs and ants. She would sprinkle some sugar at the hallway of her house then returning to check on the sugar after some time to look at the ants which had gathered there. However, after she had joined Morning Musume, it was as though she had made a 180 degrees turn, losing interest in insects completely.

This week’s recommendation, “Chanpuru ~Happy Marriage song~” cover album! Unlike the usual cutesy songs Sayu sings, BOWY’s “Only You” which she had covered together with Junjun and Risako was originally sang by males and the lyrics are all male expressions. It took them around 2 long hours before they are finally done with the recording of the song. She had also recommended Reina’s solo, “Heya to Y shirts to Watashi” which she thinks is very suitable for Reina followed by New Mini Moni’s “Tentou Chuu no Sanba”. Lastly, Berryz Koubou and Mano Erina’s “Kanpaku Sengen”. Risako’s husky voice in the song attracted Sayu to it.

Morning Musume – Nanchatte Renai ♪

Sayu will usually go shopping together with her mom since her mom knows her temper the best and cares for her. At the same time, she can rely on her mom for advice if she gets torn between two items. Not that Sayu dislikes socialising, she does hang out with the members, but whenever she gets home and is alone, she feels as though she is free, able to do whatever she wants. It doesn’t mean that she restrains herself or tries to be someone who she isn’t when she’s together with other members, just that she thinks she likes being alone. Sayu wonders if she had grown up or something since she didn’t like to be alone in the past. Sayu taught listeners some of her devilish ways of dealing with those shop assistants that pesters you when you’re alone. If that ever happens to you, just say things like “I’ll come later with my mom”, “I’ll come back later with my friends” and “Ah, I have got something that is similar to this…” She uses the last phrase frequently to escape from those shop assistants. Before she moved on, she reminded all listeners to NOT say “I don’t need it” because it will sound as though that item sucks so just use “Ah, I have got something that is similar to this…” as an excuse.

Little things like after drying her hair and realising that she didn’t lose that huge amount of hair can get Sayu’s tension up ↑↑ also, when she remembers to bring in every single item she needs in/after a hot bath into the bathroom. She feels satisfied when she didn’t leave out anything and can just enjoy her bath while listening to some music in peace.

A listener who attended the LA concert thinks that Japan’s concert stages are better as the stages are bigger and the lighting is better but putting that aside, he enjoyed himself and shared some simple fan reports with Sayu. Sayu had some problems reading “Exciting” in English and probably got some help from the Konusapi staffs. Unlike Japan’s fans where their cheers are united, America’s fans seem to lean more to the free-willed side, throwing in “Fuu~”s whenever they like. Its something new to Morning Musume, so it was fun. Sayu’s description of their first signing event, “The first step to the world” ^^; The autograph event was fun too where they got a chance to be so near to the America fans. They also got the chance to hold a long conversation with those Japanese fans that they can recognise which was a rare opportunity as they had never got a chance to talk to them for that long even though they see them at their handshake events in Japan.

Linlin’s fashion sense is a little…unique as compared to other members. Her outfits often lead Sayu to asking “Why did you match this top with this bottom?”, “Eh? You’re putting on a necktie when you’re wearing this outfit?” and etc. But recently, she improved and is moving towards the cool image with outfits that look that she’s about to perform GAM’s “Thanks”. Until now, Linlin is still buying jerseys that belong to the small category as though she still thinks she’s small. The jerseys are so small that if she stretches a little, her belly button will be exposed. Several members have already advised her to get jerseys of bigger size but its probably Linlin’s style to stick to those small-sized jerseys. Also, she puts on high-waist jersey bottoms which gives her wedgies often. Sayu’s way of describing the high-waist bottom “Something that Fujimoto-san will probably get pissed off by” (Mikitty can’t stand wediges) Again, the members advised her to pull it down a little but she just continues doing that, wearing jerseys that aren’t even the high-waist type up high. Sayu assumed that it maybe because Linlin is small-sized so the pair of pants slips off easily that’s why she wears it above her waist but still, the look of her with those pants isn’t the best thing ever. Nowadays, all the Morning Musume members are trying to convince Linlin to change her style as though they are have some sort of “Improve Linlin’s fashion sense Project” thing going on. A perfect example was that on the day itself (Recording of this episode), Aika forced Linlin to pull her pants down a little.

Whenever Sayu and her sister are in the elevator and Sayu goes “I’m cute today too” in front of the mirror, her sister will respond “Nah, I’m cuter”, sparking off a battle with Sayu. Also, Sayu uses the mirror to check her outfit while in the elevator. Some time ago, she was taking a photo of herself in the elevator since she was searching for places with the best lighting for her to take the cutest photos ever. When she looked up, she realised there was a camera installed in the elevator and was totally embarrassed.

Sayu weighs herself 2 times per day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Sometimes, she’ll gain some weight which makes her go “Eh? I gained so much within a day?!” She will try different ways of weighing herself since she can’t bring herself to accept the fact that she gained that much within a day. After giving up tip-toeing and everything and still, unable to bring down the weight, she’ll take off all her clothes then to weigh herself again and it seriously worked. It decreased by 0.6kg. Sayu is curious to know about how many kgs one can gain within a day so if you know the answer, do send in to her.

▼ Opening Talk
Started off with Ojigi’s final performance talk. The girls received a bouquet each which came as a surprise and they sang Ojigi’s theme song once more at the end of the performance. It was a really touching performance but there is something Sayu will like to apologise about. On last week’s Konusapi, Sayu mentioned that she didn’t get a chance to use her gag for her punishment game so she did the gag on the radio show. However, it wasn’t so. Sayu lost in the end and had to do it. She was as embarrassed as how she was when she did it during last episode’s recording. As Konusapi is a pre-recorded radio show, after last week’s recording, Sayu headed for her Ojigi rehearsal and lost the game, that is why Sayu had spoke a little too soon on the radio show saying that she didn’t get the chance to do the punishment game. Also, on that day, by coincidence, it was the DVD recording for the rehearsal footage, so we’ll probably get to see Sayu doing her “Konjac Jelly ♥”

Mail #1 – Sender asks Sayu to talk about the Okinawa trip for her image DVD and photobook. Sayu describes this photobook to be the most natural one as compared to the rest of the photobooks she had released. In fact, some of the make-ups are close to not having any make-up on since she was told to show what a girl in her teens can. The naturalness in the photobook is something Sayu will like all her fans to look forward to. As for the DVD, Sayu has no idea why, but she was asked to do some kick-boxing when her weakness is sports. She complained about how tiring it was and the next day she had to attend the dance lesson for the new single with a muscle ache. Even though so, Sayu will like fans to pay attention to the kick-boxing part as she had tried really hard during the kick-boxing session. The DVD includes Sayu’s letter to her future-self in 10 years. She can’t remember what she wrote but she thinks its something really good so she encouraged fans to pay attention to that part too. Sayu will be waiting your reviews!

Mail #2 – Eri’s character in Ojigi is Tsuru Erika while Reina’s is Kuroda Reina. Both their characters’ names are related to their real names. However, Sayu’s character, Chii Ruruka’s name is not related to Michishige Sayumi. Sender is curious about why Sayu was in the role of Chii Ruruka. Sayu has no idea why too. But when Ojigi had first started off with Aichan, Sayu and Tokkii, all these 3 girls’ characters’ names are not related to their real names. Eri and Reina only joined in the Ojigi cast afterwards in the roles of Tsuru Erika and Kuroda Reina so Sayu thinks the name-relationship-trend was only introduced after the first part of Ojigi. Although Sayu is not related to her character in terms of name, Chii Ruruka’s personality is similar to Sayu’s, going around doing Usachan Peace, not being able to make friends with small children and such. In the play, Ruruka is unable to communicate well with the 2 Hello Pro Eggs despite loving children. Sayu reveals that that happens to her in real life too. She tried to get closer to the 2 Hello Pro Eggs but it just don’t seem to work. She shares an episode that happened in her dressing room. Karin went to Sayu asking her to look at a comic book. As one who loves children, Sayu was excited and agreed readily, misunderstanding Karin’s intention of lending it to her for that moment, thinking that Karin is going to give it to her. Sayu noticed the troubled look on Karin’s face as Karin was returning to her dressing room. Karin came back a few minutes later telling Sayu “Its about the comic book earlier on..its okay for you to borrow it..but my mother wants to read it too so can you return it to me after you’re done reading it?”. Sayu bet Karin had consulted someone before she came back to Sayu. Anyway, she quickly apologised and rushed through the comic book before returning it to Karin.

Mail #3 – While having a hairwash in the hair salon, whenever the hairdresser asks if there is any part of the head that itches, even if there is, the sender will not have enough courage to say that there is. Sayu understands the sender’s feelings. Unlike other hair salons, the one that Sayu visits does not put a towel to refrain the shampoo/water from getting into their customers’ eyes. She’ll be torn between whether to close her eyes or not. The hairdresser often tries to initiate a conversation with Sayu while washing her hair asking “Your work for today is over?”. Deep down Sayu will be thinking that “Of course it is, or else how would I be able to come?” or “Obviously, since its evening already” but in order to not show the devilish side of her, she replied with a simple “Yes”. Not only this, she always gets asked repeated questions like “Where is your hometown?”. Sayu will be dying to leave the salon as soon as possible but the hairdresser will always bug her to get a hair treatment which she’ll give in after a while. After the treatment the hairdresser will be like “Your hair is better now isn’t it?”. Even though Sayu can’t really feel it, she’ll make use of what she learned as an idol and will touch her hair followed by a “Wow! It is!” reaction. Coming back to the itching talk, that is why Sayu does not want to tell the hairdresser even if there are parts that are itchy because she’ll be initiating another annoying conversation with the hairdresser if they started going “Is it this part?” “More to the right?” and such. Sayu will rather wash her hair by herself afterwards when she gets home.

“If you can bring back only 1 item that you had lost, what will it be?” – Sayu will want back the scar-less body. Although wounds do recover, but there’s always a faint scar left behind. Sayu’s knees have lots of such scars even though it may not be clearly visible from far. Talking about injuries, it reminded Sayu of the iron incident that happened before Ojigi’s performance. Sayu had her earphones on when she was doing up her make-up. One of the earphone dropped and while reaching out for it, Sayu touched the hair iron by accident, burning her wrist. Junjun too, had scalded her right hand recently with hot water.

“If you have to be the younger sister of either Fujimoto (Miki)-san and Ishikawa (Rika)-san, whose sister will you be?” – Sayu loves Charmy, but if it comes to having either one of them as her family member, she’ll choose to have Mikitty as her sister as Mikitty is one who loves her family a lot. She went on talking about how much Mikitty had changed after leaving Morning Musume. The other day when Sayu had a TV show recording with Mikitty, Mikitty’s smile was really sweet. So sweet that Sayu’s reaction was like “Does she smile like this?”. Also, when Mikitty noticed Sayu’s nervousness before the recording since Sayu has yet to get used to variety shows, she called Sayu over to help Sayu out.

-Sayu checked out Mano’s drama and thought she was cute.

-It was a real surprise for Mano, she had no idea. When they told her that they were playing a video, she thought it would just be a video with everyone in it but it was of Matsuura Aya.
-Aya wished Mano a happy birthday and told her to continue doing her best.
-Mano chan was really happy because she really admires Aya and that’s why she ended up crying
-Mano admits to being a crybaby in which Sayu really thinks so too.
-There were times during rehearsals where Sayu saw Mano crying.
-Sayu thinks about how it is in Morning Musume. If someone’s crying, a member would notice and ask if they were okay and they’d get through it together.
-When seeing Mano, Sayu remembers thinking that there must be a lot of pressure trying to do your best by yourself at times like that.

-Sayu thinks Mano and linlin are really good friends. Usually mano has a quiet image to her but when she’s with linlin she really brightens up.
-Sayu and Mano find linlin has a lot of interesting stories and that she’s really funny
-Sayu points out that Mano chan probably noticed linlin’s funniness earlier on. (since they were eggs together)
-Sayu on the other hand only discovered linlin’s funniness recently.
-Mano always got linlin’s jokes right off the bat and laughs but before Sayu didn’t get them automatically.
-Sayu thought they were Chinese jokes and she’d try really hard to piece it together but now she finds them really funny and laughs even without having pieced it together.

-while Sayu and Mano were comparing the contents of their wallets, mano has a cute white wallet full of point cards while Sayu has a cute pink wallet with hearts, Sayu reveals that she has a lot of 500 yen coins.
-She’s been really saving them up so she has about 12-13,000 saved at home.
-she also has a Tsunku and wife wedding card in her wallet. She thought it was a telephone card at first but it’s actually a QUO card (pre-paid debit card)
